No toda agua es potable. Hay que evitar el charco estancado; el río que corre es mejor. Elige para beber el agua segura y pura. Usa el mosquitero, pero fíjate que los mosquitos no entren en él cuando vas a dormir. Mantén a los mosquitos afuera; no los aprisiones dentro del mosquitero. Navega en el bote que flota en el agua, pero no permitas que el agua entre en el bote. Así también, permanece en la vida mundana, pero no le permitas que entre en ti. El loto, nacido en el fango y el barro, se eleva a través del agua y levanta la cabeza bien alto sobre el agua. Se rehúsa a dejarse mojar, a pesar de ser el agua el elemento que le da vida.
